🌿 Devotional Thought

A new day can feel complicated when you are grieving.

Some mornings bring a sense of fresh start…and others begin with the quiet weight of remembering all over again.

Grief doesn’t reset with the calendar.

But God’s mercy does.

Lamentations 3 reminds us of something deeply comforting:

Every single day, God gives new mercy.

Not leftover mercy from yesterday.Not borrowed strength from last week.

Fresh mercy.Fresh compassion.Fresh grace—for today.

That means whatever today holds…whatever emotions rise…whatever memories come…

God has already prepared what you need to walk through it.

If today feels heavy—there is mercy for that.If today feels quiet—there is peace for that.If today brings unexpected tears—there is comfort for that too.

You don’t have to carry yesterday into today.

God is meeting you right here…right now…with exactly what your heart needs.

So as this new month begins…

Take a deep breath.

Receive His mercy.

And trust that today is held in His faithful hands.

Lord,Thank You for Your new mercies today. When grief feels heavy, help us to receive the fresh grace You are giving us right now. Remind us that we are not walking this day alone and that Your compassion never fails. Strengthen our hearts and guide us through each moment.In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
