“Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book?”— Psalm 56:8

🌿 Devotional Thought

Not all tears are public.

Some tears fall in quiet moments when no one else is around.

The tears that come while looking at old photographs.

The tears that appear when a favorite song begins to play.

The tears that come unexpectedly when a memory surfaces out of nowhere.

Sometimes you wipe them away quickly, hoping no one notices.

But God notices.

He always notices.

Psalm 56:8 gives us one of the most beautiful pictures of God's love.

It tells us that He collects our tears in a bottle.

Not because He enjoys our pain—

But because every tear matters to Him.

Every tear represents love.

Every tear tells a story.

Every tear reveals a heart that has loved deeply.

Perhaps others around you do not fully understand your grief.

Perhaps they think you should "be over it by now."

But God never rushes healing.

He never tells us to stop missing the people we love.

Instead, He gently reminds us:

"I see you. I know your heart. And I am with you."

So if tears come today, do not be ashamed.

They are not a sign of weakness.

They are evidence of love.

And the God who sees every tear is also the God who promises comfort, healing, and hope.

You may cry alone—

But you never cry unnoticed.

Lord,

Thank You for seeing every tear and understanding every ache of our hearts. Thank You for never growing weary of our grief and for loving us with compassion and tenderness. Help us remember that we are never alone and that every tear we shed is precious to You.
