Welcome, and thank you for stopping by.
My name is Sarah Skaggs — I’m an inspirational fiction and non-fiction author, a life encourager, and above all, a woman of deep faith. I write from the heart, drawing on real-life experiences to uplift, inspire, and remind others that they are never alone.

Whether it’s through imaginative storytelling or powerful truth-telling, my words are meant to bring hope and healing. When I’m not writing, you’ll find me studying God’s Word, crafting, cooking up something delicious, spending time at church, traveling, or volunteering. I find joy in the simple things and purpose in every opportunity to serve.

I’ve been richly blessed to be part of the foster and adoption world, caring for hundreds of precious children over the years — each one holding a special place in my heart. These experiences continue to shape the compassion and authenticity that flow through my writing.

My fictional series, The Little One’s Collection, is full of small-town charm and mystery. You’ll fall in love with Momma Ellen and the unforgettable folks of Kitty Wink, North Carolina — a place where faith and community always shine through.

My non-fiction works are deeply personal — drawn from real-life experiences, trials, and triumphs. One of those titles, How I Became an Overcomer, shares my own story of surviving loss, rejection, and heartache — and finding strength in Christ.

I was born and raised in the small town of Logan, Ohio, and lost my sweet Momma far too young. I experienced foster care and know firsthand what it feels like to search for love and belonging. My early years were marked by hardship, but with Jesus, I am a survivor — and more than that, I am an overcomer.

Today, I am blessed with my incredible husband Tim, a true gift from God, and our beautiful daughter Maria. My beloved son Michael was taken from us in 2019 in a tragic, senseless act of violence. His memory lives in every heartbeat of my writing, and through God’s strength, I press on — leaning on His promises and the hope of eternity.

My prayer is that through every book, every blog, and every word I share, you’ll find encouragement, connection, and the reminder that even in the darkest valleys — God is always with you.
