🌿 Saturday, April 11, 2026✨ Stay Rooted While You Write ✨

📖 Scripture (KJV)

Colossians 2:6–7“As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith…”

Jeremiah 17:7–8“Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD…For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters…”

John 15:4“Abide in me, and I in you…”

✍️ Devotional Thought

Writing can sometimes feel like you’re pouring out constantly.

Ideas…Words…Emotions…Energy…

And if you’re not careful, you can begin to feel drained.

That’s why God reminds us of something so important—

Stay rooted.

Colossians tells us to be rooted and built up in Him.

That means your strength doesn’t come from how much you write…

It comes from where you are planted.

Jeremiah paints a beautiful picture of a tree planted by the water.

Even in dry seasons…Even in heat…Even when conditions aren’t perfect…

It continues to grow.

Why?

Because its roots go deep.

As a writer, your “roots” matter.

If you are rooted in God:

✨ Your words will carry life✨ Your message will carry truth✨ Your writing will remain steady—even in hard seasons

But if you try to write disconnected from Him…

You may feel:

Tired.Uninspired.Overwhelmed.

John 15 reminds us to abide in Him.

Not visit Him occasionally…Not seek Him only when you need inspiration…

But stay connected.

Because when you are connected to Him…

Your writing becomes an overflow of that relationship.

So today, don’t just focus on writing more.

Focus on staying rooted.

Spend time with Him.Stay grounded in His Word.Let Him fill you first.

Because a rooted writer…

writes with strength, stability, and purpose.

🌿 Saturday Reflection

Am I staying connected to God in my writing journey?

What does “being rooted” look like for me daily?

Have I been trying to write in my own strength?

🙏 Prayer

Father,Thank You for being my source and my strength. Help me to stay rooted in You in every part of my life, especially in my writing. Draw me closer to You and fill me with Your truth and peace. Let my writing flow from a place of connection with You.In Jesus’ name, Amen.

💜 Saturday Author Encouragement

Stay rooted.Stay connected.Stay faithful.

When your roots are deep… your writing will stand strong. ✍️📖✨
