Habakkuk 2:3“For the vision is yet for an appointed time… though it tarry, wait for it…”

Psalm 31:15“My times are in thy hand…”

✍️ Devotional Thought

One of the most discouraging thoughts a writer can have is this:

“I’m behind.”

Behind where you thought you’d be.Behind other writers.Behind your own expectations.

You may look at your progress and feel like you should be further along by now.

More pages written.More chapters finished.More done.

But God is not measuring your journey by your timeline.

He is working by His.

Ecclesiastes reminds us that everything is made beautiful in His time—not ours.

That includes your writing.

The ideas you’ve been carrying…The pages you’ve written…The progress that feels slow…

None of it is wasted.

Habakkuk reminds us that the vision has an appointed time.

Even if it feels delayed…Even if it seems like it’s taking longer than expected…

God is still moving.

Psalm 31 brings such peace—

Your times are in His hands.

That means:

✨ You are not late✨ You are not forgotten✨ You are not falling behind

You are exactly where you need to be for this moment.

Growth takes time. Clarity takes time. Finishing takes time.

So today, release the pressure of comparison and deadlines you’ve placed on yourself.

Take a deep breath.

Trust God’s timing.

And keep moving forward—one faithful step at a time.

Because God is not rushing your story…

He is perfecting it.
