2 Peter 1:21“…holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.”

Exodus 31:3–5“And I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship…”

Proverbs 16:1“The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, is from the LORD.”

✍️ Devotional Thought

As writers, we often feel the weight of responsibility.

We think:

“I need to come up with something meaningful.”“I need to make this sound right.”“I need to get the message across clearly.”

And while writing does require effort…

It was never meant to be carried alone.

2 Peter reminds us that the words spoken by God’s people were inspired by the Holy Ghost.

That means the most powerful writing…

Doesn’t come from striving—it comes from being led.

Exodus shows us that God fills His people with wisdom, understanding, and creativity.

Even in craftsmanship… even in skill…

God is the source.

That includes your writing.

The ideas you have…The words that come to you…The message stirring in your heart…

They are not random.

They are God working through you.

Proverbs reminds us that even the words we speak—or write—are directed by the Lord.

So instead of putting pressure on yourself to create something perfect…

Pause.

Pray.

Invite God into your writing.

Because when you do…

✨ The words flow differently✨ The message carries more meaning✨ The impact goes deeper

You are not just writing on your own.

You are partnering with the Creator.

So today, don’t strive…

Surrender.

Let Him guide your thoughts.Let Him shape your words.Let Him write through you.

Because when God writes through you…

Your words will reach exactly who they’re meant for.

Am I trying to write in my own strength?

Have I invited God into my writing process?

What would change if I truly let Him lead my words?

Father,Thank You for being the source of all wisdom and creativity. Help me to rely on You in my writing instead of my own strength. Guide my thoughts, direct my words, and use me as a vessel for Your message. Let everything I write reflect Your truth and Your love.In Jesus’ name, Amen.
