Living Close to the Lord
Walking Daily in His Will, Not Ours
šæ February 13th Bible Study: Trusting God When His Will Is Hard
šļø Key Scripture (KJV):āAnd he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.āā Matthew 26:39
š Devotional Thought:
Living close to the Lord does not mean life will always be easy. Sometimes walking in Godās will requires deep trustāespecially when His plan feels difficult.
In the garden of Gethsemane, Jesus showed us what true surrender looks like. He was honest about His struggle, yet He chose obedience. His prayer was not rooted in comfort, but in submission: āNot as I will, but as thou wilt.ā
There will be moments in our lives when Godās will stretches us beyond what feels natural. It may require patience when we want answers, forgiveness when we feel hurt, or courage when we feel afraid.
Trusting God in hard moments draws us closer to Him than anything else. It is in surrender that our faith deepens and our dependence grows stronger.
February 13th reminds us that even when Godās will feels heavy, His presence is near. He never asks us to walk alone.
š Prayer Prompt:
Lord, help me trust You even when Your will feels difficult.Give me strength to surrender fully and courage to follow You.Teach me to pray, āNot my will, but Thine.ā
āļø Reflection Questions:
⢠Have I ever struggled with accepting Godās will?⢠What does surrender look like when the path is hard?⢠How can trusting God deepen my relationship with Him?
⨠Encouragement for Today
Godās will may stretch youābut it will never abandon you.
Trust Him.He walks with you through every season. šš
