Starting the Week Close to Him
đ Key Scripture (KJV):âTrust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.ââ Proverbs 3:5â6
đ Devotional Thought:
Mondays often feel like fresh starts. New tasks. New responsibilities. New decisions.
But the most important decision we make today is this:
Will I trust God with this week?
Living close to the Lord means we do not lean on our own understanding. We donât try to control every outcome. We donât map everything out before inviting Him in.
Instead, we acknowledge Him in all our ways.
That means:âą In conversationsâą In work decisionsâą In family mattersâą In quiet momentsâą In stressful situations
When we place Him first at the beginning of the week, we walk in peace instead of pressure.
Closeness is not complicated. It is daily trust.
đ Prayer for Monday:
Lord, I give You this week.Direct my thoughts, my words, and my steps.Help me trust You fully and lean on Your wisdom, not my own.
âïž Reflection Questions:
âą Where am I tempted to rely on my own understanding?âą Have I truly surrendered this week to the Lord?âą What would change if I trusted Him completely?
đż Monday Challenge:
Before you begin your day tomorrow, pray this simple prayer:
âLord, guide my steps today.â
Then watch how He directs your path.
âš Encouragement for Today
You do not have to figure out the week alone. When you walk closely with Him,He orders every step. đđ
