If we are going to live close to the Lord, we must learn to guard our hearts.

Our heart is the center of our thoughts, emotions, desires, and decisions. What we allow in will eventually flow out.

What we listen to.What we dwell on.What we entertain.What we repeatedly think about.

All of it shapes the condition of our heart.

Walking daily in God’s will requires intentional guarding. Not fear. Not isolation. But discernment.

When we protect our hearts with truth, prayer, and Scripture, we create room for peace, wisdom, and spiritual growth.

A guarded heart is not a hardened heart — it is a protected one.

Living close to the Lord means we are careful about what influences our spirit.
