Living Close to the Lord
Walking Daily in His Will, Not Ours
Saying Yes When God Calls
šļø Key Scripture (KJV):āAlso I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.āā Isaiah 6:8
š Devotional Thought:
Living close to the Lord means being ready to say yes.
Godās will often begins with a simple responseāāHere am I.āĀ It may not always be comfortable. It may not always be easy. But it is always purposeful.
Isaiah did not fully know what lay ahead when he said yes to God. He simply made himself available. That is the heart of walking daily in Godās willāavailability over control, obedience over hesitation.
Sometimes God calls us to serve quietly.Sometimes He calls us to step outside our comfort zone.Sometimes He calls us to trust when we donāt have all the details.
Closeness to God grows when we respond with willingness. When our hearts are open, God can lead us in ways we never imagined.
February 12th reminds us that living in Godās will starts with a surrendered āyes.ā
š Prayer Prompt:
Lord, give me a willing heart.Help me say yes to Your calling, even when I donāt understand the full picture.Make me available to serve You wherever You lead.
āļø Reflection Questions:
⢠Is there something God may be calling me to step into?⢠What fears might be holding me back from saying yes?⢠How can I cultivate a heart that is ready to respond?
⨠Encouragement for Today
God is not looking for perfection. He is looking for willingness.
When you say yes to Him,you step closer into His will. šš
