🌞 Agape Love Bible Study July 1, 2026A New Month, A Renewed Purpose

A New Month, A Renewed Purpose

Theme Verse:

"Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?" — Isaiah 43:18-19 (NIV)

Welcome to a New Month

Happy July!

As we step into a brand-new month, we are reminded that every sunrise is another gift from God and every new day is another opportunity to grow closer to Him. July is often a month filled with family gatherings, celebrations, freedom, and reflection. As Americans, we also remember the blessings of living in a nation founded on the principles of liberty and the importance of protecting the freedoms we have been given. Above all, we celebrate the greatest freedom of all—the freedom found through Jesus Christ.

No matter what June held for you—joys, victories, disappointments, unanswered prayers, grief, or uncertainty—God invites you to begin again. His mercies are new every morning, and His grace is sufficient for every step of the journey.

Today is not just the beginning of another month.

It is another opportunity to trust Him more fully.

Scripture Reading

  • Isaiah 43:18-19

  • Lamentations 3:22-23

  • Psalm 118:24

  • Matthew 5:14-16

Bible Study

God specializes in new beginnings.

Throughout Scripture, we see ordinary people transformed by God's grace. Failures became leaders. Broken hearts became testimonies. Fearful people became courageous witnesses.

God never asks us to carry yesterday's burdens into tomorrow's blessings.

Sometimes we spend so much time looking backward that we miss what God is doing right in front of us. We replay mistakes, mourn missed opportunities, or worry about the future. Yet God continually reminds us that He is already working on our behalf.

This month is an invitation to renew our commitment to Him.

Choose to:

  • Spend more time in God's Word.

  • Pray with greater expectation.

  • Serve others with genuine love.

  • Forgive quickly.

  • Encourage someone every day.

  • Share the hope of Jesus whenever God opens the door.

The world desperately needs Christians who shine brightly—not through perfection, but through humble obedience and unwavering faith.

As followers of Christ, we are called to be lights in a dark world. People should see kindness where there is anger, hope where there is despair, peace where there is chaos, and love where there is division.

Our lives may be the only Bible someone reads today.

Reflection Questions

  1. What do I need to leave behind as I begin this new month?

  2. Where have I seen God's faithfulness during the past month?

  3. How can I intentionally shine Christ's light in my home, workplace, church, or community this month?

  4. Is there someone God is prompting me to encourage or pray for today?

Prayer

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for bringing us into a brand-new month. Thank You for Your mercy that never fails and Your faithfulness that never changes.

Help us leave behind anything that keeps us from walking closely with You. Renew our hearts, strengthen our faith, and fill us with the joy that comes from knowing Jesus.

May our words bring encouragement, our actions reflect Your love, and our lives point others toward the hope found in Christ.

As we celebrate the freedoms we enjoy, remind us that our greatest freedom comes through Your Son, Jesus Christ. Help us never take that gift for granted.

Use us this month to share the Gospel, love our neighbors, comfort the hurting, and glorify You in everything we do.

May July be a month of spiritual growth, answered prayers, renewed hope, and opportunities to serve Your Kingdom.

In Jesus' precious name,

Amen.

This Week's Challenge

Every morning this week, begin your day by praying:

"Lord, show me one person I can encourage today and one opportunity to glorify You."

Then watch how God opens doors for you to be His hands and feet.

Monthly Encouragement

"A new month isn't simply another page on the calendar—it is another reminder that God's grace is still writing your story. Walk boldly into July knowing that the One who has carried you this far will faithfully lead you every step ahead."

Have a blessed July, and may your light shine brightly for Jesus! ✝️❤️
