You Were Created With Purpose

Week 1 Theme: Knowing the One Who Calls

Theme Verse

"For Thou hast possessed my reins: Thou hast covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise Thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made..."— Psalm 139:13–14 (KJV)

🌅 Welcome

Good morning, dear friends!

Yesterday, we began our exciting journey of discovering our God-given calling by learning that every calling begins with knowing the One who calls.

Today, we take another important step by embracing this life-changing truth:

You were created with purpose.

In a world that often measures value by success, popularity, or accomplishments, God reminds us that our worth has never depended on what we do—it has always been rooted in who we are in Him.

You are not an accident.

You are not forgotten.

You are not overlooked.

Long before you entered this world, God lovingly formed you, gifted you, and designed you with a unique purpose that only you can fulfill.

There has never been another person exactly like you, and there never will be.

That is no coincidence.

That is the handiwork of an amazing Creator.

đź“– Scripture Reading

  • Psalm 139:13–18

  • Jeremiah 29:11

  • Ephesians 2:10

  • Isaiah 43:1

  • 1 Peter 2:9

✝️ Bible Study

Psalm 139 paints one of the most beautiful pictures of God's intimate love for His children.

David reminds us that God knew us before anyone else ever did.

He saw every detail of our lives before we were born.

Every talent.

Every personality trait.

Every experience.

Every opportunity.

Nothing about your life has surprised God.

Even the difficult chapters have become part of His greater story.

Sometimes we mistakenly believe our mistakes, disappointments, or painful seasons have disqualified us from God's purpose.

But throughout Scripture, God repeatedly chose imperfect people to accomplish extraordinary things.

Moses doubted his ability to speak.

Gideon questioned his significance.

Rahab had a broken past.

Peter denied Jesus.

Paul once persecuted Christians.

Yet God redeemed their stories and used them for His glory.

The same God is still writing your story today.

Your calling is not determined by your past.

It is determined by God's grace.

As you continue seeking Him, He will reveal how every chapter of your life—even the painful ones—can become part of His purpose.

Never underestimate what God can do with a heart that is fully surrendered to Him.

đź’ś Reflection Questions

  • Do I truly believe God created me with purpose?

  • What unique gifts, talents, or passions has God placed in my life?

  • Are there parts of my past that I need to surrender to God?

  • How has God used difficult experiences to shape my faith?

  • What would change if I fully believed that I am God's workmanship?

🙏 Prayer

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for creating me with love, purpose, and intention.

Thank You for knowing me before I was born and for never taking Your hand off my life.

Forgive me for the times I have compared myself to others or doubted the value You have placed within me.

Help me see myself through Your eyes instead of the world's opinions.

Heal the places where I have believed lies about my identity or my worth.

Thank You that my past does not define me—Your grace does.

Continue shaping my heart and preparing me for the calling You have designed specifically for me.

Help me trust that every experience, every lesson, and every season has a purpose in Your perfect plan.

May my life always bring glory to You.

In the precious name of Jesus,

Amen.

🌼 Today's Challenge

Spend a few quiet moments with the Lord today and read Psalm 139:13–18 slowly.

Then write down:

  • Three gifts God has given you.

  • Three ways He has been faithful in your life.

  • One area where you need to trust Him more.

Finally, thank Him for creating you exactly as you are and ask Him to continue revealing His purpose for your life.

🌟 Today's Encouragement

God never creates anything without purpose.

The birds were created to sing.

The stars were created to shine.

The oceans were created to display His power.

And you were created to reflect His glory.

Don't spend your life wishing you were someone else.

Become the person God created you to be.

That is where true joy, peace, and fulfillment are found.

"But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness into His marvelous light."— 1 Peter 2:9 (KJV)

🌿 Looking Ahead

Tomorrow we'll continue our journey with an important question:

How Does God Speak to Us Today?

We'll explore how to recognize God's voice through His Word, prayer, the Holy Spirit, wise counsel, and the peace that comes from walking closely with Him.

Learning to hear the Shepherd's voice is one of the greatest keys to discovering His calling.

🌻 Closing Thought

You are not here by chance. You are here by God's divine design. Before you ever knew Him, He knew you. Before you sought His purpose, He had already prepared it. Walk confidently today, knowing you are fearfully and wonderfully made, deeply loved, and uniquely called for His glory.

May your Sunday be filled with joyful worship, renewed confidence, and the peace that comes from knowing you were created with purpose by a God who never makes mistakes.

Have a beautifully blessed Sunday! ✝️💜
