đź’Ž Devotional Thought
Hearing the Holy Spirit is powerful.Discerning His voice is important.
But there is one step that changes everything:
Obedience.
God doesn’t speak just to be heard—He speaks to be followed.
In John 14:15, Jesus connects love and obedience:
🌿 “If ye love me, keep my commandments.”
Obedience is not about rules…It’s about relationship.
It’s about trusting that God knows what’s best, even when it’s not what we expected.
Sometimes obedience looks big—stepping out in faith, making a life change, or following a new direction.
But often, it looks small:
• Saying “yes” when God nudges you• Choosing kindness when it’s hard• Turning away from something you know isn’t right• Taking a step even when you feel unsure
And here’s something important to remember:
🌿 Delayed obedience is still disobedience.
The Holy Spirit leads us in the moment…and our response matters.
The more we obey, the more clearly we hear Him.The more we follow, the stronger our faith becomes.
And even when obedience feels uncomfortable…
it always leads to something better.
🌿 God’s direction is never meant to limit you—it is meant to lead you into His best.

Lord, help me not only hear Your voice, but obey it.Give me a willing heart that responds quickly and faithfully.
Even when it’s hard or uncomfortable, help me trust that Your way is always best.Strengthen me to follow Your leading in every area of my life.
