📖 Agape Love Daily Bible Study Community🌿 April Theme: Walking with the Holy Spirit✨ Thursday, April 16th, 2026 Bible Study🔥 Pruning for Growth

🕊 Key Scripture (KJV)

“Every branch in me that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.”— John 15:2

đź’Ž Devotional Thought

Staying connected to God brings growth…

But sometimes, growth comes through pruning.

Pruning isn’t always comfortable.

It can look like:

• Letting go of something you once held onto• Walking away from habits, relationships, or mindsets• Being stretched in ways you didn’t expect• Going through seasons that feel uncertain or refining

And in those moments, it’s easy to ask:

“God, why is this happening?”

But John 15:2 gives us a powerful answer:

🌿 Pruning is not punishment—it is preparation.

A gardener prunes healthy branches—not to harm them, but to help them grow even more.

God does the same in our lives.

He removes what is:

• Holding us back• Draining our spiritual strength• Keeping us from deeper growth

So that we can become everything He created us to be.

🌿 God isn’t taking something from you—He is making room for something greater.

Even when you don’t understand…

Even when it feels difficult…

You can trust that God’s hand is at work.

Because every cut has a purpose.

Every season of pruning leads to greater fruit.

🙏 Prayer

Lord, help me trust You in seasons of pruning.Even when I don’t understand what You’re doing, remind me that You are working for my growth.

Give me the strength to release what You are asking me to let go of.Help me trust that You are preparing me for something greater.

✍️ Reflection Questions

• Is there something God may be asking me to release?• Have I experienced a season of growth that came through difficulty?• Do I trust God even when I don’t understand His process?

🌿 Today's Challenge

Ask God today:“Lord, is there anything in my life that You are trying to prune?”Be open, listen, and trust His leading.

✨ Encouragement for Today

Growth isn’t always comfortable…

But it is always purposeful.

God is shaping you, strengthening you,and preparing you for more. 💜🔥📖
