“I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.”— John 15:5

💎 Devotional Thought

Yesterday we talked about the fruit of the Spirit—all the beautiful things God grows within us.

But today, Jesus shows us the key to it all:

Stay connected.

In John 15:5, Jesus paints a powerful picture:

He is the vine…We are the branches.

🌿 Branches don’t produce fruit on their own.They only bear fruit when they are connected to the vine.

The same is true for us.

We cannot produce love, joy, peace, or patience on our own strength for long.

We might try…We might do well for a little while…

But eventually, we feel drained.

Why?

Because we were never meant to do this without Him.

🌿 Spiritual fruit comes from spiritual connection.

Staying connected to God—abiding in Him—means:

• Spending time in His Word• Talking with Him in prayer• Being aware of His presence throughout the day• Choosing to stay close, even when life gets busy

It’s not about perfection…

It’s about connection.

And when you stay connected:

🌿 Strength flows🌿 Peace grows🌿 Fruit develops naturally

You don’t have to force it…

It becomes a result of being with Him.

🙏 Prayer

Lord, help me stay connected to You.Teach me what it truly means to abide in Your presence daily.

When life gets busy or distracting, draw me back to You.Help me rely on You for strength, peace, and growth.
