"New Mercies for a New Month"

Scripture (KJV)

"It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness."— Lamentations 3:22-23

Devotional Thought

A new month has arrived.

And with it comes a reminder that God's mercy is new every morning.

Perhaps you enter July with mixed emotions.

Maybe you are grateful for how far God has brought you.

Maybe your heart still aches deeply from the loss of someone you love.

Maybe you are facing this new month with questions, uncertainties, and memories that seem especially close.

Friend, whatever you are carrying today, you do not have to carry it alone.

The same God who sustained you through yesterday has already gone before you into tomorrow.

His compassion has not failed.

His grace has not run out.

And His faithfulness remains unchanged.

A new month does not mean you leave your loved one behind.

Love does not work that way.

Their memory, their influence, and the love you shared remain precious gifts that will always be part of your story.

But as you begin this month, God lovingly reminds you that there is still hope.

Still purpose.

Still joy to be discovered.

Still blessings to be found.

And there are fresh mercies waiting for you each day.

You do not have to know what the rest of the month holds.

You simply need to trust the One who holds the month.

One day at a time.

One prayer at a time.

One step at a time.

And great is His faithfulness.

Prayer

Lord,

Thank You for bringing us into a new month. Thank You for Your unfailing mercy and Your faithfulness that never changes. As we begin July, help us trust You with every fear, every memory, and every unknown. Thank You for carrying us through the difficult days and for promising to continue walking beside us.

In Jesus' Name, Amen.
