“Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle:are they not in thy book?”— Psalm 56:8

🌿 Devotional Thought

There are moments in grief when the tears come unexpectedly.

A memory surfaces…A photo catches your eye…A thought crosses your mind…

And suddenly, your heart feels the weight all over again.

Sometimes those tears fall quietly.Sometimes they come in waves.

And sometimes… you may wonder if anyone truly understands just how deep your pain goes.

But God does.

Psalm 56:8 gives us a tender and powerful picture:

God sees every tear you cry.

Not one is missed.Not one is forgotten.Not one falls without Him noticing.

He doesn’t turn away from your grief.He doesn’t rush your healing.He doesn’t expect you to “move on” quickly.

Instead, He draws near.

He collects your tears as something precious—because they come from a heart that has loved deeply.

Your tears are not a sign of weakness.They are a reflection of love.

And every tear tells a story—a story of connection, of memories, of a bond that still matters.

So if tears come today…

Let them come.

You don’t have to hide them.You don’t have to explain them.

God sees them.God holds them.And God is holding you.
