"Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do."ā 1 Thessalonians 5:11 (KJV)
āļø Good Saturday Morning, Friends!
Happy Saturday!
Weekends often give us an opportunity to slow down, spend time with family, catch up on projects, enjoy our hobbies, and prepare for a new week.
As we continue exploring our God-given calling this month, I want us to think about a ministry that often goes unnoticed:
The ministry of encouragement.
Not everyone will stand behind a pulpit.
Not everyone will write a book.
Not everyone will lead a large ministry.
But every one of us can encourage someone.
A kind word.
A handwritten note.
A phone call.
A smile.
A prayer.
An unexpected act of kindness.
These simple gestures may seem small, but they can have an enormous impact on someone's life.
You may never know the battles another person is facing.
Your encouragement may arrive at exactly the right moment.
š Today's Bible Reading
1 Thessalonians 5:9ā18 (KJV)
"Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another."
The word edifyĀ means to build up.
God calls us to become people who strengthen others.
Imagine how different our homes, churches, workplaces, and communities would look if we intentionally chose to encourage one another every day.
Encouragement doesn't always require grand gestures.
Sometimes it simply means being present.
Listening.
Praying.
Offering hope.
Showing compassion.

šŗšø Heritage & Legacy
Leaving a Legacy of Kindness
When people remember us years from now, they may not remember every accomplishment.
But they will remember how we treated them.
They'll remember our kindness.
Our compassion.
Our willingness to help.
The legacy we leave isn't measured only by what we achieve.
It's also measured by how we love.
"A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches."ā Proverbs 22:1 (KJV)

August 15, 1914 ā The Panama Canal Officially Opened
The opening of the Panama Canal transformed travel and trade by connecting people and nations.
Connection matters.
As Christians, we're called to build bridges rather than walls.
Our words should connect people to hope, faith, and the love of Christ.

š» Inspiration for Today
You don't have to change the whole world today.
Just change one person's day.
Send the text.
Make the call.
Write the note.
Say the prayer.
Offer the hug.
Speak the encouraging word.
Kindness is never wasted.
šæ Saturday Challenge
Encourage three people today.
ā¤ļø Tell someone you're thankful for them.
š Call a friend or family member.
š Pray for someone by name.
š Send a message to someone who may need encouragement.
Then watch how God uses simple acts of kindness to brighten someone's day.
š Today's Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for this beautiful Saturday.
Thank You for the people You have placed in our lives.
Help us become encouragers.
Open our eyes to those who may be struggling silently.
Teach us to speak life, extend grace, and show compassion.
Comfort those who are grieving.
Strengthen those who are weary.
Heal those who are hurting.
Protect our families.
Guide our churches.
And help us become people who reflect Your love everywhere we go.
Use our words to bring hope.
Use our hands to serve.
Use our lives to point others toward Jesus.
In His precious name,
Amen.
