“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”— Isaiah 41:10

🌿 Weekend Devotional Thought

Weekends can sometimes be especially difficult when you are grieving.

The quiet moments can seem louder.

Memories may surface unexpectedly.

And there may be times when the absence of your loved one feels especially noticeable.

Perhaps you find yourself wishing for one more conversation.

One more hug.

One more laugh.

One more ordinary moment together.

And while those feelings are very real, God gently reminds us this weekend:

You never walk alone.

Not for one moment.

Not on the days when your heart feels strong.

Not on the days when tears come without warning.

Not on the days when grief feels heavier than usual.

God is with you.

Isaiah 41:10 is one of His sweetest promises:

"I will strengthen thee. I will help thee. I will uphold thee."

Notice that God does not say, "You must do this alone."

He says, "I will help you."

He promises His presence.

His strength.

His peace.

And His loving arms are strong enough to hold every sorrow you carry.

This weekend, give yourself permission to rest.

Talk to God.

Remember your loved one.

Smile at the memories.

Cry if you need to.

And know that while grief may be part of your journey—

Loneliness does not have to be.

Because the God who loves you walks beside you every step of the way.

Lord,

Thank You for Your promise that we never walk alone. Thank You for Your strength when we feel weak and Your peace when our hearts feel overwhelmed. As we move through this weekend, surround every grieving heart with Your comfort and remind us that Your presence never leaves us.
