God Honors Faithfulness, Not SpeedScripture:“Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.” — 1 Corinthians 4:2 (KJV)
By now, the excitement of a new year may be settling into reality. The blank page is no longer just possibility — it’s an invitation to faithfulness. God does not measure your writing by how fast you finish or how much you produce. He looks at your faithfulness.
Faithfulness is showing up when motivation fades.Faithfulness is writing even when progress feels small.Faithfulness is trusting God with the unseen work happening beneath the surface.
As an author, it’s easy to feel pressure to move quickly or accomplish more. But God never rushes His purposes. He grows them steadily, quietly, and with intention. Every sentence written in obedience matters, even when no one else sees it.
Your faithfulness today is planting seeds for tomorrow. God sees the effort, the prayers, the moments you choose obedience over discouragement. Stay steady. Stay present. Stay faithful.
Reflection Prayer:
Lord, help me remain faithful in the work You’ve given me. When I feel slow or unseen, remind me that You value obedience more than speed. Strengthen my heart to continue, trusting You with the results. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Today’s Gentle Invitation:Write for a short, intentional time today. Don’t rush. Don’t compare. Simply be faithful with what God has placed in front of you.
