🎁 Christmas Craft Countdown – Day 35 (December 13)

Craft: “Advent Scripture Candle Rings” 🕯️📖✨

Theme:Preparing our hearts for Christmas by surrounding the light with God’s Word.

These candle rings are beautiful for tables, mantels, prayer spaces, and Advent reflections.

❤️ What You’ll Need:

• Small grapevine wreaths (or wire rings)

• Pillar candles or LED candles

• Printed scripture strips (on cardstock or parchment-style paper)

• Mini clothespins or twine

• Faux greenery (pine, cedar, eucalyptus)

• Red berries, cinnamon sticks, or mini pinecones

• Hot glue gun

• Optional:

  • Gold paint pen

  • Advent labels (Hope, Peace, Joy, Love)

✨ Directions:

1. Prepare the Candle Ring

Place the grapevine wreath flat on your workspace.This will form the base of your candle ring.

2. Add Greenery

Hot glue small pieces of greenery around the wreath, tucking them into the vines for a natural look.

3. Add Advent Accents

Glue on:

• Red berries

• Mini pinecones

• Cinnamon sticks tied with twine

Keep it simple and balanced.

4. Add Scripture

Choose short Advent-focused verses, such as:

• Isaiah 9:6

• Luke 2:11

• John 1:5

• Matthew 1:23

Write or print the verse on a small strip of paper.Attach it to the wreath using:

• A mini clothespin

• Twine tied gently around the ring

5. Add the Candle

Place your candle in the center of the wreath ring.LED candles work beautifully and safely.

6. Display

Use these:

• As Advent table centerpieces

• Along a dining table (one for each Advent theme)

• On a mantle

• In a prayer or devotion space
