Craft: “Old Sled Christmas Sign” (Sled Repurpose) 🛷🎄✨

Theme:Turning something from the past into a joyful message of Christmas — simple, nostalgic, and faith-filled.

This is a SHOWSTOPPER on porches, entryways, and walls!

❤️ What You’ll Need:

  • Old wooden sled (or sled dĂŠcor piece)

  • White or neutral paint (optional)

  • Black marker, paint pen, or vinyl letters

  • Red ribbon or buffalo-plaid ribbon

  • Hot glue gun or zip ties

  • Optional:

    • Bells

    • Wooden star

    • Scripture tag

    • Light distressing sandpaper

✨ Directions:

1. Prep the Sled

Leave the sled natural for rustic charm, or paint it white/cream and lightly sand edges for a farmhouse look.

2. Add the Message

Choose one phrase and center it down the sled:

  • JOY

  • NOEL

  • WELCOME

  • O HOLY NIGHT

  • PREPARE HIM ROOM

Use paint pen or vinyl letters for a clean finish.

3. Decorate the Top

Tie greenery and ribbon at the top handle or crossbar.Add bells or a small wooden star for extra charm.

4. Optional Faith Touch

Attach a small scripture tag:

  • Luke 2:11

  • John 1:14

  • Isaiah 9:6

5. Display

Place your sled:

  • Leaning on the porch

  • Beside the front door

  • Inside an entryway

  • Near your ladder tree or snowman

It pairs beautifully with oversized ornaments and giant presents!

✝️ Faith Reflection:

Luke 2:11 (KJV)“For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.”

This sled reminds us that Christmas carries joy straight to our hearts — just like a ride down a snowy hill.
