"Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book?ââ Psalm 56:8 (KJV)
There are days when the tears seem endlessâwhen memories wash over your heart so strongly that it feels like the loss just happened yesterday. Grief doesnât follow a schedule. It rises and falls like the tide, catching you by surprise even when you thought you were healing.
But hereâs the beautiful truth: God sees every single tear. Not one escapes His notice. In fact, Scripture tells us He keeps them in a bottleâeach one precious, remembered, and accounted for. To Him, your sorrow is not wasted; itâs sacred.
The Lord doesnât rush your healing. He walks beside you through it. He listens when words fail and whispers peace into your pain. Even when you canât find strength to pray, the Holy Spirit intercedes for you with groanings too deep for words (Romans 8:26).
Every tear tells a story of love, of longing, and of the deep capacity God placed in your heart to care for others. And though this season may feel heavy, hope still shines throughâitâs found in the One who will one day âwipe away all tears from their eyesâ (Revelation 21:4).
đ Prayer:
Heavenly Father,Thank You for seeing my tears and understanding my pain when no one else can. Help me to rest in Your compassion and remember that my sorrow matters to You. Heal my heart little by little, and let every tear draw me closer to Your everlasting love.In Jesusâ Name, Amen.
