🌿 February 17 Grief Support Devotional: “Hope Grows in Small Ways”

Scripture:“For the Lord will not cast off for ever: But though he cause grief, yet will he have compassion according to the multitude of his mercies.”— Lamentations 3:31–32 (KJV)

Grief can make hope feel distant. Some days you may wonder if it will ever feel lighter, if your heart will ever rest again, if peace will truly return.

But hope often grows quietly—not in grand moments, but in small, sacred ways.

Hope looks like getting through a difficult memory.Hope looks like sharing a story without breaking.Hope looks like laughing unexpectedly and not feeling guilty afterward.

God does not cast you off in grief. He does not leave you in sorrow forever. His compassion meets you repeatedly—morning after morning, moment after moment.

You may not see dramatic change. You may not feel “healed.”But if you are still breathing, still loving, still remembering—hope is already at work.

It doesn’t need to be loud.It doesn’t need to be strong. It just needs to be present.

And God promises that His mercy will carry it forward.

Today, look for the small signs of hope. They are there—growing gently in your heart.

đŸ€ Prayer

Lord,Thank You for the small signs of hope You plant in my heart. When grief feels heavy, help me notice the gentle ways You are restoring me. Wrap me in Your compassion and guide me forward with quiet strength. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
