This February, we will focus on what it truly means to walk closely with God every dayânot just in words, but in surrender, obedience, prayer, and trust. Living close to the Lord means choosing His will over our own, daily and intentionally.

Day 1 â Living Close to the Lord Begins With Surrender
đïž Key Scripture (KJV):âI beseech you therefore, brethren⊠that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.ââ Romans 12:1
đ Devotional Thought:
Living close to the Lord does not begin with doing moreâit begins with surrendering more.
Before we can truly walk in Godâs will, we must be willing to lay down our own. God does not force His will upon us; He lovingly invites us to trust Him with every part of our livesâour plans, our desires, our timing, and our expectations.
Surrender is not weakness. It is worship.
When we present ourselves to God as a living sacrifice, we are saying, âLord, my life belongs to You.â This is the foundation of walking closely with Him. The closer we stay to God, the more clearly we begin to recognize His voice and His direction.
February begins with a heart check. Are we holding tightly to control, or are we willing to place our lives fully in Godâs hands?
Walking daily in His will means choosing trust over fear, obedience over comfort, and faith over self-reliance.
Closeness with God always starts hereâat the place of surrender.
đ Prayer Prompt:
Lord, I desire to live close to You.Help me surrender my will so I may walk in Yours.Teach me to trust You fully and follow You daily.
âïž Reflection Questions:
âą What areas of my life do I need to surrender to God today?âą How does surrender draw me closer to the Lord?âą What would it look like to walk in Godâs will instead of my own this month?
