🌿 February 4th Bible Study: Obedience Over Convenience

Bible Study: Obedience Over Convenience

šŸ•Šļø Key Scripture (KJV):ā€œBehold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.ā€ā€” 1 Samuel 15:22

šŸ“š Devotional Thought:

Living close to the Lord means choosing obedience, even when it is uncomfortable or inconvenient.

It’s easy to obey God when His will aligns with our desires. The true test of closeness comes when obedience requires sacrifice, patience, or trust beyond understanding. God desires our hearts more than our efforts—our obedience more than our excuses.

Obedience keeps us aligned with God’s will. It protects us from unnecessary detours and draws us deeper into relationship with Him. When we choose obedience, we are saying, ā€œLord, I trust You more than I trust myself.ā€

Today reminds us that obedience is an act of love—and love always brings us closer to God.

šŸ™ Prayer Prompt:Lord, help me choose obedience over convenience.Give me a willing heart to follow You, even when it’s hard.

āœļø Reflection Questions:• Where might God be calling me to obey more fully?• What excuses tend to keep me from obedience?

✨ Encouragement:Obedience always leads to closeness.
