New Beginnings in Christ Day 13 ā January 13th, 2026: Godās Mercies Are New Every Morning
šļø Key Scripture (KJV):āIt is of the Lordās mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.āā Lamentations 3:22ā23
š Devotional Thought:
As we continue forward into the new year, God gently reminds us that every day begins with fresh mercy.
No matter what yesterday heldāmistakes, weariness, sorrow, or unanswered questionsātoday arrives wrapped in Godās compassion. His mercy does not run out. His grace does not expire. And His faithfulness never fails.
January 13th invites us to stop dragging yesterday into today. When we dwell on the past, we miss the new mercies God is offering right now. God does not measure us by yesterdayās failuresāHe meets us with todayās grace.
Mercy allows us to start again.Grace allows us to move forward.Faithfulness assures us that God will not abandon us along the way.
The future Jesus has for you is built not on perfection, but on His mercy. Each morning is Godās reminder that He is still working, still loving, and still leading.
Let today be a fresh startānot because everything is perfect, but because God is faithful.
š Daily Bible Reading ā January 13th:Genesis 29ā30(A reminder that God works through long journeys, waiting seasons, and imperfect circumstances.)
š Prayer Prompt:
Lord, thank You for Your mercy that meets me each morning.Help me receive Your grace for today without carrying yesterdayās burdens.Teach me to walk forward in confidence, trusting in Your great faithfulness.
āļø Reflection Questions:
⢠What burdens from yesterday do I need to lay down today?⢠How does knowing Godās mercy is new each morning give me peace?⢠What would it look like for me to live fully in todayās grace?
⨠Encouragement for Today
Yesterday is gone.Today is filled with mercy. And tomorrow is held by God.
