šŸ“– January Bible Study — New Beginnings in ChristDay 16 – January 16th, 2026: Waiting Well While God Works

šŸ•Šļø Key Scripture (KJV):ā€œBut they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eaglesā€¦ā€ā€” Isaiah 40:31

šŸ“š Devotional Thought:

Waiting is one of the hardest parts of faith—especially when we are eager to move forward.

We often associate waiting with inactivity, but Scripture teaches us something different: waiting is active trust. When we wait on the Lord, we are not standing still—we are leaning into God’s timing, trusting His wisdom, and allowing Him to work in ways we cannot see.

Isaiah reminds us that those who wait on the Lord are not weakened by the pause—they are renewed. God strengthens hearts that choose patience over panic and faith over frustration.

January 16th invites us to examine how we respond during seasons of waiting. Are we anxious, or are we trusting? Are we rushing ahead, or are we resting in God’s promises?

The future Jesus has for you is not delayed—it is developing. God often uses waiting to prepare us for what’s next.

Waiting well means believing that God is still working, even when nothing seems to be happening.

šŸ™ Prayer Prompt:

āœļø Reflection Questions:

• Where am I currently being asked to wait on God?• How can I shift my mindset from frustration to trust during this season?• What does waiting well look like for me today?

✨ Encouragement for Today

Waiting does not mean God has forgotten you.It means He is preparing you.

Trust His timing — strength is coming.Ā šŸ’œ
