š January Bible Study ā New Beginnings in Christ Day 6 ā January 6th, 2026: Trusting God With the Unknown
šļø Key Scripture (KJV):āFor we walk by faith, not by sight.āā 2 Corinthians 5:7
š Devotional Thought:
One of the hardest parts of moving forward is stepping into the unknown.
We like plans. We like certainty. We like knowing how things will turn out. But God often asks us to move forward before everything makes senseābecause faith grows strongest when it is exercised, not explained.
Walking by faith means trusting God even when the details are unclear. It means believing that He is working behind the scenes, even when we cannot yet see the outcome. Faith is not the absence of questionsāit is the choice to trust God in the midst of them.
Throughout Scripture, Godās people walked into uncertainty with faith:
Abraham left his home not knowing where he was going.
Moses led people through the wilderness without seeing the end.
The disciples followed Jesus without knowing where the road would lead.
And yet, God was faithful every step of the way.
January 6th reminds us that the future Jesus has for us does not require us to see everything clearlyāit requires us to trust Him completely. When we walk by faith, God guides our steps, strengthens our hearts, and reveals His plans in His perfect timing.
You donāt need to know the whole journey. You only need to know who you are walking with.
š Daily Bible Reading ā January 6th:Genesis 12ā14(The story of Abram stepping out in faith, trusting God with an unknown future.)
š Prayer Prompt:
Lord, help me trust You even when I cannot see the full path ahead. Strengthen my faith when uncertainty feels overwhelming. Teach me to walk forward confidently, knowing You are guiding every step.
āļø Reflection Questions:
⢠What unknown situation am I struggling to trust God with right now?⢠How does walking by faith look different from walking by sight in my life?⢠What would it look like for me to fully trust Jesus with my future today?
⨠Encouragement for Today
Faith does not eliminate uncertaintyāit overcomes it.
Jesus is not asking you to see the future. He is asking you to trust Him with it.
Walk forward in faith. š
