Living Close to the Lord
Walking Daily in His Will, Not Ours
Today’s Bible Study: Drawing Near to God Daily
🕊️ Key Scripture (KJV):“Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you.”— James 4:8
📚 Devotional Thought:
Living close to the Lord is not something that happens by accident—it is a daily choice.
God invites us to draw near to Him, not just on Sundays or in moments of need, but every single day. Closeness with God grows through intentional time in His presence—through prayer, reading His Word, listening for His voice, and surrendering our hearts to Him.
When we draw near to God, He responds. He meets us with peace, wisdom, correction, comfort, and love. The promise in James 4:8 is beautiful and personal: when we move toward God, He moves toward us.
Walking in God’s will begins with relationship. The closer we stay to Him, the clearer His direction becomes. When we choose His presence over distractions and His will over our own, we begin to experience a deeper, richer walk with the Lord.
Today is a reminder that intimacy with God is built one quiet moment at a time.
🙏 Prayer Prompt:
Lord, I desire to live close to You.Help me draw near to You daily and remove anything that pulls my heart away.Teach me to walk in Your will and trust Your leading in every part of my life.
✍️ Reflection Questions:
• What helps me feel closest to God?• What distractions might be pulling me away from daily time with Him?• How can I intentionally draw nearer to the Lord today?
✨ Encouragement for Today
You don’t have to be perfect to be close to God.You just have to be willing.
Take a step toward Him today—He is already waiting. 💜
