“Release & Renew Prayer Cards” ✨🙏📜

Theme:Letting go of what weighed us down in 2025 and placing our trust in God for what lies ahead.

This craft is gentle, meaningful, and can be done quietly alone or as a family.

❤️ What You’ll Need:

• Index cards or cardstock (white, kraft, or winter colors)

• Pen or marker

• Small basket, bowl, or envelope

• Ribbon or twine

• Optional:

  • Hole punch

  • Winter stickers or stamps

  • Scripture cards

  • Tea light candle (for reflection time)

✨ Directions:

1. Prepare Two Sets of Cards

Label one set:

• “I Release”

Label the other set:

• “I Trust God With”

You can decorate the edges lightly with snowflakes, stars, or hearts.

2. Write Your Reflections

On the Release cards, write:

• Worries

• Disappointments

• Regrets

• Fears

• Anything you don’t want to carry into the new year

On the Trust cards, write:

• Hopes for the coming year

• Prayers

• Goals

• Areas you’re trusting God with

3. Pray & Sort

Take time to pray over each card as you write it.Place the cards into two separate piles or sections of your bowl.

4. Symbolic Release

When finished:

• Tear up the Release cards

• Or place them in a sealed envelope marked “Given to God”

Keep the Trust cards to read again on New Year’s Day.

5. Close With Gratitude

End by thanking God for carrying you through the year — even the hard parts.
