Agape Love Bible Study

We have spent August learning about Discovering Your God-Given Calling—recognizing our gifts, listening for God's direction, stepping out in faith, surrendering our plans, and learning to walk boldly in the purpose He has given us.

But once we begin walking in our calling, we need to understand something else:

We must be spiritually prepared for the battle.

That's why throughout September 2026, we're going to dig deep into a powerful new study:

🛡️ PUT ON THE WHOLE ARMOR OF GOD

Standing Strong in a Spiritual Battle

“Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.”— Ephesians 6:11 (KJV)

This won't simply be a study where we memorize the pieces of armor.

We're going to learn what they mean, why God gave them to us, and how we actually put them on in our everyday lives.

⚔️ WHAT WE'LL BE STUDYING

Throughout September, we'll explore:

🛡️ The Whole Armor of God — Why does Paul describe our Christian walk as a battle?

⚔️ The Belt of Truth — How do we recognize God's truth when the world is filled with deception?

❤️ The Breastplate of Righteousness — How do we guard our hearts and live a life that honors Christ?

👣 Feet Shod With the Preparation of the Gospel of Peace — How can we carry the Gospel wherever God sends us?

🛡️ The Shield of Faith — What are the “fiery darts” of the enemy, and how does faith protect us?

👑 The Helmet of Salvation — How do we guard our minds against fear, doubt, condemnation, and lies?

⚔️ The Sword of the Spirit — Why is God's Word our weapon, and how do we learn to use Scripture when spiritual battles come?

🙏 Praying Always — Why prayer isn't an optional addition to the armor—it is essential to standing strong.

But we're going even deeper.

We'll study spiritual warfare without living in fear.

We'll learn about temptation, discernment, guarding our thoughts, standing on Scripture, recognizing deception, resisting the devil, protecting our homes spiritually, praying for our families, and remaining faithful when the battle gets difficult.

And we'll continually come back to one important truth:

Our victory is found in JESUS CHRIST.

This study isn't about becoming afraid of the enemy.

It's about becoming confident in God.

📖 OUR FOUNDATION FOR SEPTEMBER

I encourage you to begin reading Ephesians 6:10–18 before September begins.

Underline it.

Write it in your journal.

Pray over it.

And begin asking:

“Lord, teach me how to put on Your whole armor every single day.”

September won't just be about learning what the armor is.

We're going to learn how to wear it.

How to stand in it.

How to pray in it.

And how to remain faithful when life feels like a battlefield.

“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might.”— Ephesians 6:10 (KJV)

Notice where our strength comes from.

Not ourselves.

THE LORD.

September is going to be a month of digging deeply into God's Word and learning what it means to STAND.

When fear comes...

STAND.

When temptation comes...

STAND.

When doubt whispers...

STAND.

When the enemy throws fiery darts...

LIFT YOUR SHIELD AND STAND.

And when you feel like you don't have enough strength left...

Remember:

You were never commanded to stand in your own strength.

You are called to be:

“Strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might.”
