Today, I want to share a little food for thought.
Life is not a bed of roses. God never promised that it would be. He did, however, promise that He would walk with us and carry us through every trial that comes our way.
A few years ago, I was talking with a coworker who told me that if she had experienced the things I have faced, she would probably be sitting in a corner somewhere, unable to go on.
The truth is, I have walked through many difficult seasons. I have faced loss, tragedy, grief, illness, and so much more. Sometimes people look at me and ask, "How can you still smile?"
My answer is simple: Jesus.
He is the only reason.
My life hasn't been easy, and I still have struggles, but I can praise Him through every season because I know He has my back. He has never left me, and He has never failed me.
If you don't know Jesus for yourself, let today be the day you turn your life over to Him. Make up your mind that no matter what comes your way, you will serve Him through it all.
Romans 10:9-10 (KJV)
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
Then, find a Bible-teaching church that stands firmly on God's Word and does not compromise biblical truth. Pray and ask God to direct your path. He will lead you where He wants you to be. He certainly did for me.
I encourage you to study the Bible for yourself. Write down the Scriptures you hear in church and compare them with God's Word. If something doesn't line up with the Bible, don't accept it without prayerfully studying it for yourself.
Sadly, there are false teachers in the world. That is why studying Scripture is so important.
I have a simple rule: If the Bible says something is wrong, then it is wrong. It doesn't matter how many people try to justify it.
When I don't understand something in Scripture, I look it up, pray about it, and trust God to reveal His truth. He is faithful.
I pray each of you will be encouraged today. No matter what you are facing, remember that God is still in control.
God bless each of you, and have a wonderful Wednesday. ❤️
