Weekend Bible Study January 17th and 18th New Beginnings in Christ

📖 January Bible Study — New Beginnings in Christ

Day 17 – January 17th, 2026: God Redeems What Was Meant for Harm

🕊️ Key Scripture (KJV):“But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good…”— Genesis 50:20

📚 Devotional Thought:

One of the hardest things to release from the past is hurt—especially when it was caused by others. But Scripture reminds us of a powerful truth: God is able to redeem even the most painful chapters of our lives.

Joseph’s story is filled with betrayal, injustice, and loss. Yet he could look back and say, “God meant it unto good.” Not because the pain didn’t matter—but because God never wasted it.

January 17th invites us to trust that God can take what wounded us and use it for healing, growth, and purpose. Looking back at pain can keep us stuck. Looking forward with God allows redemption to unfold.

You may not understand how yet—but God is working good from what once hurt.

📖 Daily Bible Reading — January 17th:Genesis 38–40

🙏 Prayer Prompt:Lord, help me trust You with the painful parts of my past.Redeem what was meant to harm me and use it for good.Heal my heart so I can move forward in freedom.

📖 January Bible Study — New Beginnings in Christ

Day 18 – January 18th, 2026: Letting God Heal the Heart

🕊️ Key Scripture (KJV):“He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.”— Psalm 147:3

📚 Devotional Thought:

Moving forward with Jesus often requires healing, not just determination.

We can leave old seasons behind physically while still carrying emotional wounds spiritually. God never asks us to ignore our pain—He invites us to bring it to Him.

Psalm 147 reminds us that God is gentle with broken hearts. He binds wounds carefully, lovingly, and completely. Healing takes time, patience, and trust—but God is faithful to restore what has been damaged.

January 18th is a reminder that healing is part of forward movement. You don’t have to pretend you’re okay to walk into the future God has for you—you just have to let Him heal you as you go.

📖 Daily Bible Reading — January 18th:Genesis 41–42

🙏 Prayer Prompt:Lord, heal the places in my heart that still ache.Help me trust You with my pain and receive the healing You offer.Restore my heart as I continue moving forward with You.

✍️ Reflection Question:• What area of my heart still needs God’s healing touch?

✨ Encouragement:Healing doesn’t slow your journey—it strengthens it.
