“Snowy Scripture Mug” ☕❄️📖
Theme: Warming our hearts with God’s Word as we settle into the new year.
This craft is practical, comforting, and perfect for cold January mornings.
❤️ What You’ll Need:
Plain ceramic mug (white works best)
Oil-based paint pens or porcelain markers
Paper towel & rubbing alcohol (to clean surface)
Oven (for setting paint, optional depending on markers)
Optional:
Snowflake stencils
Metallic marker (silver or gold)
Tea bags, cocoa packets, or coffee for gifting
✨ Directions:
1. Prep the Mug
Clean the mug with rubbing alcohol to remove oils or residue. Let dry.
2. Write Scripture or Words
Using paint pens, write one of the following:
“Be still and know”
“Trust the Lord”
“New mercies every morning”
Isaiah 40:31
Psalm 46:10
Add small snowflakes, dots, or stars around the words.
3. Let Dry
Allow the design to air dry for at least 24 hours.
4. Set the Design (if required)
If your markers require heat-setting:
Place mug in a cool oven
Heat to 350°F
Bake for 30 minutes
Turn oven off and let mug cool completely inside
(Check marker instructions.)
5. Enjoy or Gift
Use it for:
Morning devotion time
Winter tea or cocoa
A thoughtful handmade gift
✝️ Faith Reflection:
Isaiah 40:31 (KJV)“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength…”
As the year begins, God invites us to slow down, warm up, and be renewed in Him.
