“Bless the Birds Winter Feeder” 🐦❄️🌾
Theme:Sharing God’s care and provision — even in the coldest season.
This craft reminds us that kindness and provision matter, and it’s perfect for families, kids, or quiet winter afternoons.
❤️ What You’ll Need:
Pinecones (large ones work best)
Peanut butter (or suet for outdoor durability)
Birdseed
Twine or yarn
Butter knife or spoon
Optional:
Dried fruit bits
Sunflower seeds
Wooden craft sticks (for spreading)
✨ Directions:
1. Prepare the Pinecone
Tie a piece of twine securely around the top of each pinecone, leaving enough length for hanging.
2. Spread the Peanut Butter
Using a knife or spoon, generously coat the pinecone with peanut butter, pressing it into the grooves.
3. Roll in Birdseed
Pour birdseed into a shallow dish and roll the peanut-butter-covered pinecone until fully coated.
4. Hang the Feeder
Hang the pinecone feeder on:
Tree branches
Porch hooks
Fence posts
Choose a spot visible from a window so you can enjoy watching the birds.
5. Observe & Enjoy
Spend a few moments quietly watching — noticing how God provides even in winter.
✝️ Faith Reflection:
Matthew 6:26 (KJV)“Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not… yet your heavenly Father feedeth them.”
As we care for the birds, we’re reminded that God cares for us even more.
