Craft: “Snowy Word Canvas” 🎨❄️✨
Theme:
Choosing a word to carry through the year — grounded in faith, hope, and intention.
This craft is peaceful, meaningful, and makes a beautiful wall or desk piece.
❤️ What You’ll Need:
Small canvas or thick cardstock
White acrylic paint
Sponge or old paintbrush
Black, gray, or metallic paint pen
Paper plate (for paint)
Optional:
Glitter (very light touch)
Snowflake stencil
Silver or gold paint
Frame (if using cardstock)
✨ Directions:
1. Create the Snowy Background
Pour a small amount of white paint onto a plate.
Use a sponge or brush to dab paint lightly across the canvas, creating a soft “snowfall” texture.
Let dry completely.
2. Choose Your Word
Select one word to guide your year, such as:
Faith
Peace
Trust
Hope
Rest
Courage
Renewal
Pray over your word before writing it.
3. Add the Word
Using a paint pen, write your word in the center of the canvas.
You may add a small scripture reference underneath, like:
Proverbs 3:5
Isaiah 41:10
Psalm 46:10
4. Optional Details
Add tiny snowflakes, dots, or a hint of silver/gold paint for depth.
A light dusting of glitter can add sparkle without overpowering.
5. Display
Place your Snowy Word Canvas:
On a desk
In a prayer corner
On a shelf
Near your bed
Let it remind you daily of the focus God placed on your heart.
✝️ Faith Reflection:
Proverbs 16:3 (KJV)
“Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established.”
When we commit our year — and our word — to God, He establishes our steps.
