“Winter Gratitude Jar (Looking Back With Thanks)”

Theme:Pausing to thank God for what He carried us through — and what He blessed us with — before stepping into the new year.
This craft is reflective, peaceful, and becomes a meaningful keepsake.
❤️ What You’ll Need:
Clear jar (mason jar, candle jar, or recycled food jar)
White, silver, or kraft paper (cut into small strips)
Pen or marker
Ribbon or twine
Winter embellishments (snowflakes, stars, pinecones, greenery)
Optional:
LED tealight
Scripture tag
Glitter (very light touch)
✨ Directions:
1. Decorate the Jar
Wrap ribbon or twine around the neck of the jar.Add a snowflake charm, pine sprig, or simple bow.
Optional: Place an LED tealight inside for a soft winter glow.
2. Prepare the Paper Slips
Cut small paper strips.On each one, write:
Something you’re grateful for
A moment God showed up
A lesson learned
A prayer answered
You can write dates or names if you’d like.
3. Add Scripture
Place a small scripture inside or tie it to the outside:
Psalm 103:2
Lamentations 3:22–23
Psalm 77:11
4. Fill the Jar
Fold the slips and place them inside the jar throughout the day.
5. How to Use
Fill it on December 28
Read them on December 31
Or save it to open next Christmas
