📖 A Thankful Heart – 30 Days of Gratitude Before GodDay 16 – November 16th: Thankful for God’s Mercy

📖 A Thankful Heart – 30 Days of Gratitude Before GodDay 16 – November 16th: Thankful for God’s Mercy

🕊️ Key Scripture (KJV):“But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us…”— Ephesians 2:4

📚 Devotional Thought:Today, I am thankful for God’s mercy—the compassion, forgiveness, and lovingkindness that holds us even when we fall short. Mercy is God’s heart reaching down to us, not because we deserve it, but because He loves us beyond measure.

Every day we wake up is another reminder of His mercy. We make mistakes, we stumble, we struggle, but His mercy meets us right where we are. It doesn’t run out. It doesn’t fade. It doesn’t give up. God’s mercy renews each morning, wrapping us in grace and giving us strength to keep going.

Mercy is what kept us when we didn’t even realize we needed keeping. It’s what shielded us from things that could have destroyed us. It’s what brought healing to wounds, peace to storms, and hope to the hopeless places of our hearts.

Think of how many times God extended mercy instead of judgment—how many times He forgave, restored, and renewed you. His mercy is proof of His unfailing love. It’s a reminder that no matter how broken we feel, no matter how far we’ve wandered, He welcomes us back with open arms.

Today, thank Him for that mercy—mercy that saved you, mercy that carries you, mercy that continues to shape you into who He has called you to be.

🙏 Prayer Prompt:Lord, thank You for Your rich and endless mercy. Thank You for forgiving me, loving me, and lifting me up when I fall. Help me to live with a grateful heart and extend mercy to others the way You have extended it to me.

✍️ Reflection Questions:• When has God shown me mercy when I least deserved it?• How has His mercy changed the direction of my life?• Who in my life needs to experience mercy through my words or actions today?
