šŸ“– A Thankful Heart – 30 Days of Gratitude Before GodDay 2 – November 2nd: Thankful for Family

šŸ•Šļø Key Scripture (KJV):ā€œBehold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!ā€ā€” Psalm 133:1

šŸ“š Devotional Thought:Today, my heart is overflowing with gratitude for my family—each precious person God has placed in my life as a gift of love. Family is one of the most beautiful blessings from the Lord. It’s through family that we learn compassion, patience, laughter, and unconditional love.

I thank God for my loving husband Tim, who stands beside me through every season of life, my daughter MariaĀ and her husband Codey, and my two beautiful grandsons ColtĀ and Cohen, who fill our hearts with laughter and joy. I am thankful for my son Michael, who now rests in Heaven with Jesus, and for the memories and love that forever live in my heart.

I’m also grateful for my stepdaughter BrandyĀ and her family, and for my stepson Cody—each of them a special part of the family God has woven together in His perfect design. I thank Him for my sisters and brothers-in-law, my nieces and nephews, my aunts and uncles, and all my cousins, each one a thread in this tapestry of love.

I hold close in my heart my five siblings, Helen, Jack, Phebe, Barbie, Becky, my beautiful MommaĀ and DaddyĀ in Heaven, my grandparents, and all the loved ones who have gone on to glory. Though they are no longer here on earth, their love still lives within me. Their prayers, kindness, and example of faith continue to guide me daily. Heaven feels nearer when I think of them, and I thank God for the promise that one day we’ll be together again in His presence.

Family isn’t always perfect—we have our quirks and differences—but love covers all. Through good times and trials, through laughter and tears, family remains one of the greatest reflections of God’s love.

šŸ™ Prayer Prompt: Heavenly Father, thank You for my beautiful family. Thank You for my husband Tim, my daughter Maria and her husband Codey, my grandsons Colt and Cohen, my son Michael, who is in Heaven, my stepdaughter Brandy and her family, and my stepson Cody. Thank You for every sibling, cousin, aunt, uncle, niece, nephew, and loved one You’ve placed in my life. I’m especially thankful for my Momma in Heaven, whose love still surrounds me. Help me cherish every moment, love unconditionally, and keep gratitude in my heart for the precious gift of family.
