### **You Don’t Have to See the Whole Story**
**Scripture**
*"For we walk by faith, not by sight:"*
— **2 Corinthians 5:7 (KJV)**
Have you ever sat down to write and thought:
**“Lord, I know You gave me this story... but I have no idea where it is going.”**
Maybe you know the beginning but not the ending.
Maybe you have the title but no chapters.
Maybe you have characters dancing around in your mind but haven't figured out what they're supposed to do.
Or perhaps God has placed a testimony, devotional, Bible study, or message on your heart, but you're wondering how all those scattered thoughts will ever become a finished book.
Welcome to writing by faith.
Sometimes God gives us the entire vision.
But many times, He simply gives us **the next step.**
And that can be frustrating for those of us who want to know the whole plan!
We want the outline.
We want the timeline.
We want the ending.
We want confirmation that all these hours spent writing will eventually accomplish something.
But God often says:
**“Trust Me with the next page.”**
### ✍️ **The Next Page Is Enough**
Think about Abraham.
God told him:
*"Get thee out of thy country... unto a land that I will shew thee:"*
— **Genesis 12:1 (KJV)**
God didn't hand Abraham a detailed itinerary.
He gave him a direction.
And Abraham had to move before he could see where God was taking him.
Sometimes writing works the same way.
You may not know how Chapter Ten ends while you're writing Chapter Two.
That's okay.
**Write Chapter Two.**
You may not know who will publish the manuscript.
**Write anyway.**
You may not know whether ten people or ten thousand people will ever read it.
**Write anyway.**
You may not understand why God keeps bringing a particular story back to your heart.
**Write anyway.**
Faith doesn't require knowing the entire journey.
Faith requires trusting the One leading it.
### 💜 **Don't Let Uncertainty Become Disobedience**
Sometimes we disguise fear as preparation.
*"I'll start when I know exactly what I'm doing."*
*"I'll write when I have more time."*
*"I'll finish it when I know someone will publish it."*
*"I'll share my testimony when I'm sure people will understand."*
But what if God isn't asking you to understand everything?
What if He's simply asking you to obey?
Noah built before the rain came.
Abraham traveled before he saw the destination.
Peter stepped out before he knew how walking on water would work.
And sometimes...
**the writer must begin before seeing how the story ends.**
### 🌿 **God Already Sees the Finished Story**
Here's the beautiful part:
The page that looks blank to you isn't blank to God.
He already knows who needs your words.
He knows where your book will travel.
He knows whose nightstand it will sit upon.
He knows the person who will underline a sentence because it spoke directly to their heart.
He knows the reader who will whisper:
**“I needed this today.”**
You don't have to know them yet.
You simply have to be faithful with the words God has entrusted to you.
### 🙏 **Tuesday Author Prayer**
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the stories, testimonies, ideas, and messages You have placed within our hearts.
When we cannot see the entire journey, teach us to trust You with the next step.
Remove the fear that tells us we must understand everything before we begin.
Give us courage to write when the path isn't clear, perseverance when progress feels slow, and wisdom to recognize Your direction.
Guide our pens, our keyboards, our thoughts, and especially our hearts.
May every word we write honor You and reach exactly whom You intend it to reach.
We trust You with the story.
In Jesus' precious name,
**Amen.**
### ✍️ **Today's Author Challenge: Just Write the Next Page**
Don't worry about finishing the whole book today.
Your challenge is simple:
**Write one page.**
One page of the manuscript.
One page of your testimony.
One devotional.
One scene.
One page of notes.
Just take the next faithful step.
Because one page becomes two.
Two become ten.
Ten become chapters.
And eventually...
**faithful pages become finished books.**
### 💜 **Tuesday Author Check-In**
Let's encourage each other today!
**What part of your writing journey are you trusting God with right now?**
Maybe it's:
📖 Finding the right words.
✍️ Finishing your manuscript.
🙏 Knowing what God wants you to write.
📚 Publishing your book.
💜 Finding your audience.
🌱 Simply having the courage to begin.
Share yours in the comments so we can encourage and pray for one another.
And when you see another author's comment, remind them:
**Keep going. God isn't finished with your story.**
### 🌸 **Today's Encouragement**
**“You don't need enough faith to finish the whole book today. You only need enough faith to write the next page.”**
Author, don't be intimidated by the pages you haven't written yet.
Don't worry about tomorrow's chapter.
Don't become overwhelmed by the ending.
Look at the page God has placed in front of you **today.**
Pray over it.
Trust Him with it.
Then pick up your pen and begin.
**One prayer.
One step.
One page at a time.**
God sees the whole story.
You just keep faithfully writing the next page.
**Happy Tuesday & Happy Writing!** 💜📖✍️

This one would make a beautiful image with a **winding path disappearing into the sunrise beside an open journal**, symbolizing that we don't have to see the whole road to faithfully take the next step.
