God Finishes What He Starts
Scripture:
Philippians 1:6 (KJV)
"Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:"
Psalm 138:8 (KJV)
"The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O LORD, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands."
Hebrews 10:35-36 (KJV)
"Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise."
As July begins to draw to a close, perhaps you're looking back over the month and wondering if you've done enough.
Maybe you didn't write as much as you had hoped.
Perhaps some goals remain unfinished.
Maybe there are chapters still waiting to be completed and dreams that seem to be taking longer than expected.
But don't let unfinished pages discourage you.
God is not discouraged by unfinished things.
In fact, He specializes in them.
Philippians reminds us that the God who began the good work in you is faithful to complete it.
He does not abandon His promises.
He does not forget His plans.
And He does not leave His children halfway through the story.
Sometimes we become impatient with ourselves.
We expect instant results.
We want immediate answers.
But Hebrews reminds us that patience is part of the process.
There are seasons of planting.
Seasons of growing.
And seasons of harvest.
And each season has a purpose.
Psalm 138 reminds us that the Lord will perfect the things that concern us.
That dream He placed within your heart still matters.
That manuscript still matters.
That testimony still matters.
And the pages you have yet to write still matter.
So don't become discouraged by what remains unfinished.
Instead, thank God for how far He has already brought you.
Celebrate every lesson.
Celebrate every page.
Celebrate every opportunity.
And trust Him with the chapters that are still ahead.
Because the Author of your life never abandons His work.
And He always finishes what He starts.
Daily Reflection
đź’ś Am I focusing more on what remains unfinished than on God's faithfulness?
đź’ś How has God helped me grow this month?
đź’ś What progress can I celebrate?
đź’ś What dreams do I need to place back into His hands?
đź’ś Am I trusting His timing and His process?
Prayer:
Father, thank You for Your faithfulness throughout this month. Thank You for every lesson, every opportunity, and every blessing You have given me. Help me not to become discouraged by unfinished goals or delayed dreams. Teach me to trust Your timing and remain confident in Your promises. Thank You for continuing the good work You have begun in me. In Jesus' name, Amen.
