Don't Give Up on the Dream
Scripture:
Galatians 6:9 (KJV)
"And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not."
Isaiah 40:31 (KJV)
"But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."
Hebrews 10:35-36 (KJV)
"Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise."
There are times in every author's journey when weariness begins to settle in.
The excitement of starting has faded.
The finish line still seems far away.
And the dream that once felt so alive suddenly feels distant.
Perhaps you've wondered if all the effort is worth it.
Maybe you've questioned whether you'll ever finish the manuscript, build an audience, or accomplish the vision God placed within your heart.
If so, take heart.
You are not alone.
Every great story requires perseverance.
Every harvest requires patience.
And every dream worth pursuing will experience seasons when giving up seems easier than pressing on.
But God reminds us in Galatians that if we do not faint, there will be a harvest.
Not necessarily according to our timetable.
Not always in the way we imagined.
But in His perfect timing.
Isaiah reminds us that our strength comes from the Lord.
When we are weary, He renews us.
When we are discouraged, He lifts us up.
And when we feel like quitting, He gently reminds us that He is still working.
Don't throw away your confidence.
Don't give up on the dream.
Don't abandon the story God has placed within your heart.
The same God who planted the vision is faithful to bring it to pass.
Your story matters.
Your words matter.
And your faithfulness matters.
Keep writing.
Keep believing.
And trust the Author who already knows how the story ends.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for being my strength when I am weary. Help me not to become discouraged or lose sight of the dreams You have placed within my heart. Renew my spirit and remind me that Your timing is perfect. Give me the perseverance to continue and the faith to trust You with every chapter. In Jesus' name, Amen.
