Zechariah 4:10“For who hath despised the day of small things?”

Galatians 6:9“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”

Psalm 37:23“The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD…”

✍️ Devotional Thought

Sometimes writers become discouraged because progress feels slow.

You may look at your work and think:

“I should be further along by now.”“I haven’t accomplished enough.”“What difference do these small efforts even make?”

But God sees your journey differently.

Zechariah reminds us not to despise small beginnings.

Because small things matter to God.

One page written.One chapter edited.One hour set aside to work on your calling.

Those moments may feel small…

But they are still progress.

Galatians reminds us not to grow weary in doing good.

Why?

Because harvest comes through continued faithfulness.

Not through perfection.Not through giant leaps every day.

But through consistently showing up.

Psalm 37 reminds us that our steps are ordered by the Lord.

That means even slow progress can still be God-led progress.

So today, stop measuring your success only by how much you finish.

Instead, recognize the beauty of continuing.

💜 Continuing to show up💜 Continuing to believe💜 Continuing to write

Because every faithful step is moving you closer to the vision God placed in your heart.

And one day, those small steps…

Will become a completed story.
