Start the Week With Expectation

Scripture:

Jeremiah 29:11 (KJV)

"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end."

Proverbs 16:3 (KJV)

"Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established."

As a new week begins, it is easy to focus on everything that still needs to be done. There are chapters to write, edits to make, marketing plans to create, and dreams that seem larger than life. Yet God never intended for us to begin each week with worry or fear. He invites us to begin with expectation.

Jeremiah reminds us that God already knows the plans He has for us. He sees the chapters ahead that we cannot yet see. He knows the readers who need the message He has placed inside our hearts. He understands every delay, every opportunity, and every lesson along the journey.

As Christian authors, we do not write alone. We write with the assurance that the Author of our lives is guiding each step. When we commit our work to Him, He establishes our thoughts and directs our path.

Perhaps this week will bring fresh inspiration. Perhaps it will bring new opportunities. Perhaps it will simply bring another chance to faithfully continue what God has already placed before us. Whatever lies ahead, we can walk into this week with hope because God is already there.

Do not begin this week with fear. Begin it with expectation. The Lord is still working, and He is not finished with your story.

Prayer:

Father, thank You for the gift of a new week. Thank You for the dreams and stories You have placed within my heart. Help me to trust You with every chapter and every opportunity. Teach me to walk forward with expectation, knowing that You are already preparing the way. Establish the work of my hands and use my words to bring glory to You and encouragement to others. In Jesus' name, Amen.
