Write From a Heart of Gratitude

Scripture:

Psalm 100:4 (KJV)

"Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name."

1 Thessalonians 5:18 (KJV)

"In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you."

Colossians 3:15 (KJV)

"And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful."

As writers, it is easy to become focused on what still lies ahead. We think about the chapters yet to be written, the books yet to be published, and the dreams we hope to see fulfilled. Sometimes, without realizing it, we spend so much time looking forward that we forget to appreciate how far God has already brought us.

Gratitude changes our perspective.

Instead of seeing unfinished goals, we begin to see God's faithfulness.

Instead of focusing on what we lack, we begin to recognize the abundance of blessings He has already provided.

Perhaps you haven't finished your manuscript yet.

Perhaps your audience isn't as large as you hoped.

Perhaps some prayers are still waiting to be answered.

But there are still reasons to give thanks.

Thank Him for the ideas He has placed in your heart.

Thank Him for the opportunity to write.

Thank Him for the lessons learned through the difficult seasons.

Thank Him for every reader who has been encouraged by your words.

And thank Him for His faithfulness, which never fails.

A grateful heart brings peace, joy, and renewed inspiration.

As Christian authors, may we never become so focused on reaching the next milestone that we forget to thank God for the journey itself.

Today, choose gratitude.

For the story.

For the calling.

For the opportunity.

And for the Author who has been faithful through every chapter.

Prayer:

Father, thank You for every blessing You have given me. Thank You for the gift of writing, the dreams You have placed within my heart, and the opportunities You provide each day. Help me to cultivate a grateful spirit and never take Your faithfulness for granted. May my words always bring glory to You and encouragement to others. In Jesus' name, Amen.

A grateful heart produces joyful writing.

Thank God for where you are.

Thank Him for where He has brought you.

And trust Him for the chapters still to come.

Keep writing. Keep believing. Keep thanking the Author of your story. ✍️📖💜
