God Can Do More Than You Imagine

Scripture:

Ephesians 3:20 (KJV)

"Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,"

Psalm 37:5 (KJV)

"Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass."

Proverbs 3:5-6 (KJV)

"Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths."

Sometimes, as writers, we place limits on what God can do.

We dream small because we're afraid to be disappointed.

We hold back because we're afraid of failure.

We question whether anyone will read our words or whether our stories can truly make a difference.

Yet God specializes in exceeding expectations.

Paul reminds us in Ephesians that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think.

His plans are greater than our plans.

His timing is better than our timing.

And His vision is far larger than anything we can imagine.

Perhaps God has given you a dream that seems impossible.

Maybe it's a book you long to publish.

A ministry you hope to build.

A testimony you want to share.

Or a story you believe God has called you to tell.

Do not be afraid to dream.

Do not be afraid to trust Him.

And do not allow fear to keep you from taking the next step.

Psalm 37 reminds us to commit our way to the Lord and trust Him.

The outcome is in His hands.

Our responsibility is simply to remain faithful.

Proverbs reminds us not to lean on our own understanding.

There will be times when we don't understand the delays.

There will be moments when the path ahead seems uncertain.

But God is directing our steps.

He sees the readers we have never met.

He sees the lives our words may touch.

And He sees possibilities we cannot yet imagine.

So dream boldly.

Pray faithfully.

Write courageously.

And trust the Author who is able to do more than you could ever ask or think.

Prayer:

Father, thank You for the dreams and desires You have placed within my heart. Help me not to limit what You can do through my life and writing. Teach me to trust You completely and to walk by faith instead of fear. Guide my steps and help me remain faithful to the calling You have given me. May everything I write bring glory to You and encouragement to others. In Jesus' name, Amen.
