🌸 Agape Love Blog – July 9, 2025 🌸

Updated: Jul 14

Anchored in Grace, Moving in Love

Good morning, beloved family in Christ!

As the sun rises on this new day, let us take a deep breath of gratitude. July 9th brings with it quiet strength and sweet reminders—of our heritage, of God’s faithfulness, and of the everyday miracles tucked into the rhythm of life.

šŸ•Šļø A Word for Your Heart

ā€œNow the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all.ā€ā€” 2 Thessalonians 3:16 (KJV)

There’s a peace that the world cannot give and cannot take away. On a busy summer day like today, it’s easy to get caught up in the bustle, the heat, or even the weariness of the week. But God’s peace meets us right here—in the middle of our real life, reminding us we are not alone and never forgotten.

So whether you're running errands, chasing little ones, working hard, or simply trying to hold it together—know this: God sees you, loves you, and walks with you.

šŸ“œ On This Day in History – July 9

  • 1776 – George Washington read the Declaration of Independence to his troops in New York City. What courage it took to stand for freedom then—just as it takes courage today to stand for spiritual freedomĀ in a world that desperately needs light.

  • 1868 – The 14th AmendmentĀ to the U.S. Constitution was ratified, granting citizenship to all persons born or naturalized in the U.S. A historical step toward justice and dignity—a reflection of what the kingdom of God offers: full belonging to all who receive Him.

  • 1982 – The first solar-powered aircraft crossed the English Channel. A reminder that even when resources seem limited, innovation and faith can carry us further than we ever imagined.

šŸŒŽ National Holidays Today

  • National Sugar Cookie Day – Today’s the perfect excuse to bake a little sweetness and share it with someone who needs a smile. You never know what a warm cookie and kind heart can do in someone’s life.

  • Call a Friend DayĀ (observed unofficially) – Take a moment today to check in with someone. A quick message or call could be the lifeline someone needs. God uses youĀ to be His comfort.

āœļø Living the Agape Way

Let today be a day of intentional encouragement. Maybe someone around you is carrying invisible burdens. A kind word, a scripture, or a reminder that ā€œyou are lovedā€ might be just what their heart needs.

Let’s follow Jesus in our quiet ways today. Whether we’re baking cookies, reflecting on freedom, or making a call to someone on our heart—love is always the mission.

šŸ™ Prayer for July 9th:

Father God, thank You for the gift of this day. We praise You for the freedom we have in You and for the peace that surpasses all understanding. Help us to reflect Your love, speak life into those around us, and never grow weary in well-doing. Use us as vessels of encouragement today. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Today’s Challenge:Do one small act of Agape love. Bake. Call. Pray. Hug. Write.Love loudly in the quietest way.

You are cherished. You are chosen. You are part of the Agape family—forever anchored in His love.

With all my heart,Sarah M. SkaggsAgape Love Ministry šŸ’—"Where grace meets every heart."
