Stillness, Strength & Sabbath Grace

Good evening, dear ones!

As we look back on this beautiful Saturday, may our hearts pause in peace.July 19, 2025Ā offered us a sacred space—a chance to slow down, reflect, and receive. Whether you spent the day with family, in the garden, at work, or tucked in a quiet corner with Jesus, today was a gift. And if it rushed by too quickly to soak it all in, there’s still time to say thank You, Lord.

āœļø Verse of the Day

ā€œIn returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength.ā€ā€” Isaiah 30:15 (KJV)

There is power in quietness. Strength in rest. Salvation in surrender. The world urges us to go, do, achieve—but God gently calls us to come, rest, and be still.

So if your soul has been worn or your heart felt stretched this week, let this truth settle in:God does some of His best work when we simply slow down and let Him lead.

šŸ“œ On This Day in History – July 19

  • 1848 – The first Women’s Rights Convention opened in Seneca Falls, NY. A reminder that every voice matters and that God created each one of us with purpose, dignity, and strength.

  • 1870 – France declared war on Prussia, marking the start of the Franco-Prussian War. In contrast, Jesus is the Prince of Peace, and His reign brings healing to wounded hearts and nations.

  • 1980 – The Summer Olympics began in Moscow—without many nations due to protest. Even the world’s greatest athletes need strength to endure, but our spiritual race is run with eternal power.

šŸ•Šļø National Holidays – July 19

  • National Raspberry Cake Day – A sweet reminder that joy doesn’t have to be complicated. Maybe you enjoyed something sweet today, or shared a meal with someone dear—those are holy moments too.

  • National Words With Friends Day – A day to reconnect, to encourage, to speak life. Even if you didn’t have time to reach out today, there’s still time to be the voice of peace before the sun sets.

šŸ’› Saturday Soul Reflection

As we close this day, take a moment to breathe and remember:

  • What made you smile today?

  • What did God whisper to your heart?

  • What beauty did you notice?

Sometimes, it’s in the simplest Saturday moments—a sunrise, a child’s laughter, a still breeze—that God says, ā€œI’m here. I love you. You are Mine.ā€

šŸ™ Sabbath Prayer:

Lord, thank You for this Saturday. Thank You for quiet grace and unhurried time. Help us to lay down the weight of the week and pick up Your peace. As we prepare for a new day tomorrow, may we enter it rested, restored, and ready to worship. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

🌟 Today’s Gentle Challenge:

End your Saturday with gratitude.Write down 3 things you’re thankful for today—big or small.Let worship close the day.

Even if today wasn’t perfect, it was blessed.Because God was in it.And because you were never alone—not for a moment.

With a quiet heart and Saturday joy,Sarah M. SkaggsAgape Love Ministry 🌼"Peace in the stillness. Joy in the simple. God in every moment."
