Renewed by God’s Mercy

Good morning, beloved!

Wednesdays often feel like the “in-between” of the week—the start is behind us, but the finish line feels far away. It’s easy to feel weary. Yet God’s mercies are new every morning, and He gives us exactly what we need to press forward in His strength.

✝️ Verse of the Day“It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.”Lamentations 3:22-23 (KJV)

Our strength runs out, but His mercy never does.

Every sunrise is proof that God has not given up on you.

On This Day in History – August 20

  • 1741 – George Frideric Handel finished composing Messiah in just 24 days, a timeless piece declaring Christ’s glory.

  • 1920 – The first commercial radio station, 8MK in Detroit, began broadcasting, shaping communication for generations.

National Days – August 20

  • National Radio Day – A reminder of the power of voices to spread news, music, and even the Gospel.

  • National Chocolate Pecan Pie Day – A sweet blessing worth sharing with family or friends.

Wednesday Reflection: Great Is Thy Faithfulness

In seasons of stress or uncertainty, God’s faithfulness anchors us. No matter how yesterday went, today is a fresh start filled with His mercy. We can move forward not in defeat, but in renewed hope.

God doesn’t just give us enough mercy to survive—He gives us enough to thrive.

Wednesday Prayer:Father, thank You for Your mercy and compassion that never fail. Strengthen me today and renew my spirit. Help me to reflect Your faithfulness in the way I live, love, and serve. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Today’s Challenge:Write down three ways God has shown His faithfulness to you this week, and take a moment to thank Him for each one.

May your Wednesday be filled with mercy, strength, and gratitude for His unfailing faithfulness.
